Rainbow Light
Nutri Stars Multi-Vitamin and Multi-Mineral Children's Chewable
(rating = 5 * * * * * )
Excellent multi-vitamin that contains not only vitamins
and minerals but also provides a generous amount of vegetable
concentrates and superfoods. The vegetable concentrates
are carrots, spinach, celery, green beans, broccoli, parsley
and beets. Also provides a blend of herbal extracts such
as Horsetail, Stinging Nettle, Astragalus root along with
Jujube fruit and seaweeds like Nori, Wakame and Bladderwrack.
Spirulina and Wheat sprouts along with healthy plant enzymes.
Nutri Stars are hypoallergenic guaranteed. Contains no
allergenic yeasts or lactose. Completely free of artificial
colorings, flavors, preservatives and sweeteners.

There are two different flavors Original Tropical Orange
and Delicious Fruit Blast. My children prefer the Fruit
Blast flavor. It seems to be a little easier to chew. The
orange flavor took a while for 2 of my children to like.
I would not suggest this vitamin for a young child...say
2 years old unless you chop it up. I break them up or crush
them for my younger children.
Retail price is around $29.95 for 180 tablets. Child takes
2 tablets a day. However, I buy my vitamins off the web
and get almost a 50% discount paying $14.98 for the same
bottle of vitamins that retails for almost $30!

Lil Critters Gummy Vites
(rating = 3* * * )
My children call these gummy bear vitamins. Although these
vitamins look like the candy...they are far from it in nutritional
content. They contain basic vitamins and minerals with out
the use of artificial colors or flavors and do not contain
gluten or dairy either. Easy to chew and pleasant tasting.
I have fed these to my year old baby after I pulled them
apart in little pieces.
My personal opinion: I have tried these vitamins several
times in the past. I prefer the Rainbow Light Nutri Stars
because of the added superfoods and herbs. The Gummy Vites
do not contain as much of each vitamin when compared to
the Nutri Stars. For example, Nutri Stars contain 120 mg
of Vitamin C whereas Gummy Vites contain 18 mg of Vitamin
C. Gummy Vites contain about 13 different vitamins and minerals
where as Nutri Stars contain well over 40 or 50 different
vitamins, minerals, superfoods, herbs, vegetables, and enzymes.
Bottom line: I do not rely on this vitamin to give my children
the necessary nutrients they need but I have bought this
vitamin if I happen to be out of vitamins and need some
in a pinch. Lil Critters are cheap and can be found in stores
like Walmart. Out of the selection available in Walmart
or the grocery store....pick Lil Critters above all the
other so called vitamins which are filled with colors, flavors,
sugar and preservatives.
